My triptych DISAPPEAR was made in 2020 during the early period of COVID, which pushed me to reflect and question my own existence. It represents what remains of me, of my dreams.
I try to connect two worlds in my drawing: my roots and the world I observe now. The poetic form of the drawing itself is important to me. My world is an inner world, full of metaphors, symbols, and paradoxes. The multitude of different events and my conscience as a woman artist mean that I sometimes need to express the violence I feel. I try to translate my inner pain into the softness of a drawing. Its depth combines with all the richness and disappointment of the world. It is a way of finding inner order, giving meaning to life.
