Recycled Paint Fragments: Graphite, Bronze, Acrylic + Acrylic Gel on Glass

T/R. 1031 consists of the incidental fragments of paint, graphite, and bronze gleaned from the sides and reverse of my destroyed former works. They are the unintentional byproducts and waste material of a now-defunct creative process. Each mark acts as an index or record of a hidden practice that no longer exists. The unconscious evidence of a process, this work manifests as a dialogue between the hand and the eye. The act of identifying and extracting these fragments is akin to archaeology, and the method of presenting them is borrowed from entomology.
