This is a painting from a place I saw while out cycling—a heavy rainforest-like area in South Wales. I was seeking a way to hold onto a moment that captures the emotions and memory tied to experiences of the natural world. The painted image alternates across the canvas between a more straightforward depiction of the place and a weirder, strangely colored representation that brings in elements of mystery and uncertainty, hinting at the subjective perceptions we all have.
