The Humble Triangle is part of a series of daily durational drawings on OS maps, taking around 12 months to complete. Only when the drawing is complete do I unfold the whole. This map of North Devon shows areas likely to be underwater in our lifetimes. The triangles form a swarm to consider what rising sea levels mean for coastal places and to think about the legacy of triangulation that formed scale maps, leading to borders, extraction, and displacement of indigenous peoples. From hand to eye is a way of seeing an object (the map) and its history differently.
