Participative performative drawing. Moving image.

Rule of Three is based on a visual stimulus that is read, interpreted, and reproduced by the hands of the performers. Participants were asked to pick up a card where different marks were presented. They had to go through the three paper-covered walls with one type of mark on each. This simple instruction left room for decision-making by the participants. For example, they could decide the size and position of their marks on the paper. The overlapping marks throughout the one-hour session generated a drawing in which the individual traces were both lost and integrated into the collective whole.
