In this drawing, folded and stitched lines form a pattern. The folds are made without measuring, creating a slightly irregular, grid-based matrix. On some of the fold ridges, the paint is scraped off to reveal fine white lines of paper. In response to the pattern embedded in the surface, white thread is used to stitch additional fine lines, adding another layer to the work. The different qualities of lines are visible only upon close inspection, revealing the imperfections of the handmade process while forming an almost coherent structure.
